As a boy, I remember watching with my friends. The two days that stand out for me are the <strong>two Copa Libertadores finals that Pe\u00f1arol won<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<h2>Fernando Morena&#8217;s goal<\/h2>\n<p>The first was when Pe\u00f1arol beat Cobreloa from Chile. After drawing 0-0 in Montevideo, they went to Chile and in the dying moments, <strong>my idol<\/strong> Fernando Morena scored the winning goal. At just 13 years old, you can imagine my emotions when my idol scored the last-minute winner in a Copa Libertadores final!<\/p>\n<p>I can still remember the joy and celebrations now.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Gol de Morena - Pe\u00f1arol Campeon de America 1982\" width=\"800\" height=\"600\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iWeKkw0qfCE?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h2>A party across Montevideo<\/h2>\n<p>My second memory is from another final, this time against Am\u00e9rica de Cali, in 1987.<br \/>\nAfter losing there, and winning in Montevideo, a third game was played, but if it ended in a draw, Am\u00e9rica would be crowned champions.<\/p>\n<p>Right at the end of the game, <strong>Diego Aguirre<\/strong> scored the goal that sent us into orbit. I was at a friend&#8217;s house with my group of friends and when the match was over, we got on a <strong>truck<\/strong> outside that was passing by and collecting people to take to the city centre to join the celebrations.
